Bassfield Elementary School serves children in Grades K-6 in the Jefferson Davis County School District. We are located on Williamsburg Rd. in Bassfield, Mississippi. Today there are 591 students, 36 teachers and 17 teacher assistants. The principal is W. C. Graves. A full range of support services are provided, including a parent center that provides parental support for parents. Specialists in speech therapy, special education, gifted education, and counseling provide support to students and families. The faculty and staff pride themselves in "working together" to provide the best education for our students.

Bassfield High School, home of the Yellowjackets, was built in 1951. Located in the Town Of Bassfield, Mississippi, we are part of the Jefferson Davis School District. Although we are located in a rural area, our curriculum offers courses that allow the student to be challenged and prepared either for college or the work force. As part of the Mississippi Tech Prep Initiative, seventh grade students learn about different jobs in Career Discovery; eighth grade students learn about the world of computers in Computer Discovery and freshmen students learn about the various areas of technology in Technology Discovery. Bassfield High hosts many sporting activities from football to baseball to golf and is home to a Beta Club recognized by the State of Mississippi for its charitable contributions. Bassfield graduates have made an impact in practically every vocation and the future holds even more promise.
